The Valley of Erie

The Valley of Erie is comprised of four independent bodies, each with its own officers. Generally, members of the Valley are members of all four bodies.

History - The Presque Isle Lodge of Perfection, 14º (Respectable Brothers) was chartered on September 22, 1887 and is the oldest of the four bodies in the Valley of Erie, Pennsylvania. The Presque Isle Lodge of Perfection, 14 º celebrates 125 years in 2012.

The Erie Council Princes of Jerusalem, 16º (Valiant Knights) and the Erie Chapter of Rose Croix de H-D-R-M, 18º (Perfect Knights) were both chartered on April 15, 1918.

The Erie Consistory S.P.R.S. 32º (Sublime Princes of the Royal Secret) was chartered by the Sovereign Grand Inspectors-General and officers of the Supreme Council of the Thirty-third Degree on January 31, 1921.

The Valley moved to its current headquarters at 4701 Old Zuck Road, Erie PA, in 2003. The facility also houses the Compass Reading Center, of which the Valley of Erie is a sponsor.

Leadership - The Valley of Erie has an executive board comprised of four trustees, the Secretary of the Valley (who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Valley as well as the Secretary), the Treasurer, the Hospitaler, and the top officers of Erie Consistory, Erie Chapter Rose Croix, Erie Council Princes of Jerusalem, and Presque Isle Lodge of Perfection.

The Valley has a separate Building Association that oversees building-related issues and projects at our Old Zuck Road facility.
