About the Centers

The Supreme Council's newest charity was established in 1994 to provide dyslexic children with specialized one-on-one tutoring to enable them to cope with their deficit in reading and writing. While dyslexia cannot be cured, it can be treated. There is a 32º Masonic Learning Center for Children here in Erie, Pennsylvania. The local program can accommodate up to 28 students.

Students are accepted into the Learning Centers Program at no charge to their parents or to any school from which they are referred. Applicants are not judged on the basis of economic status, race, religion, or Masonic affiliation. For more information on student referrals contact the program director, Virginia Miller at 814-838-2405.
Students are tutored one on one for 2 hours a week after school at the Learning Center. The Learning Center is located at 4701 Old Zuck Road.

Tutors must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and have completed a one year program certifying them in a specialized program for dyslexic students. If you are interested in becoming an instructor, contact the center at 838-2405.
